About the Department
The Nursing Administration Department facilitates the provision and supervision of
comprehensive, quality nursing care to patients and clients who seek health services at
Mahusekwa District Hospital.
The department is headed by the District Nursing Officer (DNO) and is responsible
for the strategic management of nursing personnel, student nurses/clinical attachments,
patient care, and facility resources, all guided by institutional and regulatory policies.

The department operates on a 24-hour system,
All clinical areas are manned by Clinical Matrons, and units are led by
Sisters in Charge or Charge Nurses.
